PURPOSE-DRIVEN EMPLOYER BRANDING WORKSHOPS

BRANDING IS SO MUCH MORE THAN MARKETING

Employer branding is often misunderstood to be another word for HR Marketing. Where perhaps 10-15 years ago, this could have been interpreted in this fashion, Employer Branding has become so much more. Companies are no longer measured today about how cute the website is, or how many years of tradition lie behind the product development and culture.

Employer Branding is highly intertwined with the organisation and the culture of a company. Google would be a great example of this. There was even a film made starring Owen Wilson  and Vince Vaughn where the culture of the enterprise was googliness.  As silly as this may sound, the trends are going in this direction.  20 years ago, we still spoke about the job for life. According to the latest statistics by Deloitte, one of the biggest reasons for choosing an employer today was their online street cred.

PURPOSE DRIVEN BRANDING

When addressing Employer Branding, we talk about Employer Value Propositions, perhaps broken down into one phrase, we are talking about The Applicant / Employer Experience.

Hence, it is important for companies to recognise, that every situation an employee makes during their time at your organisation is in end-effect an Employee Experience, and this is the reason why HR is no longer an aspect within an organisation, it is an “all encompassing, integral part of the business strategy” itself.

The higher the proposition value across the employee lifecycle, the better the reputation as an employer and the lower your staff fluctuation will become.
